Job placement and employment assistance of students of the

PSE on the REM "Pavlodar Higher Medical College"

The college has its own Council on career guidance. Every year the Council schedules various activities, such as working with employed youth in medical institutions and graduates of general academic schools in the city and region, planting love for the chosen profession, counselling with college graduates regarding their further employment. There are different forms of the career guidance sessions. For example, discourses, lectures, conversational reports, contests, presentations of the specialties, Open Information Days, meetings with healthcare representatives and legal advisers dedicated to the rights and obligations of a recent graduate, etc.

Job placement and employment assistance of the college graduates are implemented together with the Department of Public Health of Pavlodar Region depending on the needs and requests of the medical and preventive care organizations of the region. Every year the Department of Public Health issues an order regarding the formation of a Committee who is responsible for allocation of the graduates. Our college assists this process by creating an effective system of an employment promotion among graduates in accordance with the qualifications and adapting the graduates to the job market; collecting information about job opportunities and organizing access to it for students; informing students about the image of modern young professionals in the eye of the market; relevance of the medical college graduates; systematizing contacts with graduates; providing graduates with constant assistance in professional, social mobility; developing contacts with employers, personnel and recruiting agencies; assisting in the certification of the graduates. Preliminary job placement of the graduates took place in February of 2017. The final session of the Committee regarding the job placement took place in April of 2017. Applications and petitions of the Medical Treatment and Preventive Care Organizations were taken into account.

The Graduates of 2014-2015 year include 349 students. Among them 260 students were enrolled on State-requisitioned places and 89 students received full compensation of a tuition fee. 282 students are employed, 39 students are enrolled to the universities, 2 students entered the colleges, 4 students were called up for military service in Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4 students moved abroad or another region, 11 students are on maternity leave. The employment rate is 91%.

The Graduates of 2015-2016 year include 267 students. Among them 156 students were enrolled on State-requisitioned places and 111 students received full compensation of a tuition fee. 220 students are employed, 25 students are enrolled to the universities, 6 students moved to another region, 16 students are on maternity leave. The recruitment rate is 82,4%, the employment rate is 100%.

The Graduates of 2016-2017 year include 318 students. Among them 98 students were enrolled on State-requisitioned places and 220 students received full compensation of a tuition fee. 254 students are employed, 40 students are enrolled to the universities, 2 students entered the colleges, 5 students moved abroad or to another region, 12 students are on maternity leave, 4 students were called up for military service in Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 1 student is unemployed due to illness. The recruitment rate is 80%, the employment rate is 100%.

As it shown on a diagram, the recruitment rate ranges from 80 to 93% and the employment rate is 100% every year.
