Continuing Education and Simulation Studies Center of Pavlodar Higher Medical College

Continuing Education and Simulation Studies Center was formed by merging the Continuing Education Center and the Regional Simulation Center on August 17, 2016 at Pavlodar Higher Medical College.
Main goals:
1. Advanced professional training by the enhancement of professional knowledge and skills, acquiring new qualifications in accordance with the personal needs of auditors and the socio-economic requirements of practical health care.
2. Retraining of unemployed population and unemployed citizens according to the applications from the employment services and applications from individuals.
3. Training of persons without medical education (paramedics) to provide the incidental medical service.
Various forms of simulation training.
Forms of additional education:

Advanced professional training is a form of professional training that allows to maintain, expand and improve acquired professional knowledge, skills and abilities. Retraining (specialization) is a form of professional training that allows to master another profession or specialty. The development of continuous learning programs is carried out on a full-time and part-time basis. In the latter case, personnel can perform work on a part-time basis and simultaneously take training in one of the forms of additional education.
Continuous learning programs are implemented with distance learning.
Auditorts who have mastered the educational programs of additional education and have successfully passed the final control are issued a document of the established form.
Organization of the educational process
The implementation of continuous learning programs is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the State Standard of Additional Education in Medical and Pharmaceutical Specialties of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the order of the Minister of Health dated November 26, 2009 No. 788 in the following specialties:
1.Laboratory diagnostics (laboratory technician, doctor-laboratory assistant)

2. Medical care (paramedic practitioner, paramedic of general practice)

3. Obstetrics (obstetrician, obstetrician of general practice)

4. Hygiene and epidemiology (sanitary paramedic practitioner, sanitary doctor assistant, laboratory technician, doctor epidemiologist assistant, entomologist)

5.Dentistry (dental practitioner, dentist, dental assistant)

6. Dental orthopedics (dental laboratory technician)

7 Nursing (nurse, advanced nurse, nurse of general practice, healthy lifestile formation nurse, medical record clerk)

8. Pharmacy (pharmaceutist, pharmaceutist assistant)
One of the important points in improving the quality of education, along with the introduction of innovative educational technologies, is the development of the material and technical base for supporting the educational process. The center is equipped with modern teaching aids: high-tech computerized training dummies, simulator robots, simulator dummies, electronic phantoms, dummy models and others, which allow simulating processes, clinical situations and other aspects of the professional activity of medical workers. There is an organizational and methodological room, lecture halls, a classroom for practical classess and training rooms in the Continuing Education and Simulation Training Center. Training rooms, lecture halls, college library and computer labs are used when necessary. Practical classes are held in training rooms, a simulation center and at various clinical bases of medical organizations in Pavlodar.
Assessment of professional qualifications and confirmation of the compliance of specialists' qualifications with the requirements of the professional standard in the field of health care is carried out on the basis of the center.

Asfendiyarov (2008), speciality – Pediatrics, qualification – Pediatric surgeon; Pediatric Surgery Residency of the Scientific Center of the Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery of the Ministry of Public Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2012), qualification – Pediatric surgeon; Pavlodar State University named after S.Toraighyrov (2013), academic degree – Bachelor of Economics and Business, speciality – Economics, Pavlodar State University named after S.Toraighyrov (2017), academic degree – Master of Education, speciality – Pedagogics and Psychology.
