National conference dedicated to the results of the implementation of the "Strategic Human Resource Management" and "Modernization of Medical Education" Roadmap projects

The National conference was held on February 23, 2018 at the Astana Medical University to discuss the annual results of the implementation of the "Strategic Human Resource Management" and "Modernization of Medical Education" Roadmap projects for 2017 and further steps regarding these projects for 2018. Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Birtanov E. participated in the conference. The conference was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their subordinate organizations, Departments of Public Health of Almaty and Astana regions and cities, Rectors of medical universities and their strategic partners, and Principals of State medical colleges. The Principal of the PSE on the REM "Pavlodar Higher Medical College" Sitkazinova G. K. Participated as well. Chairwoman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Medical Colleges' Union Shalkharova Zh. S. articulated the concept of a new model of nursing service and its implementation into the organizations of practical public health. In conclusion, the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Birtanov E. noted that introduction of international experience, expansion of the academic and managerial independence, adoption of the experience of the strategic partners, and the strengthening the role of student self-governments are the most significant fields of concern of educational institutions. Particular attention was paid to the availability of clinical bases affiliated with medical schools.
