On the eve of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the traditional sports festival "Сергектіқ" was held in the gym of Pavlodar Higher Medical College. Three teams from our college and a guest team from the Pavlodar Oil and Gas College took part in this event.
The main goals of the event are to popularize Kazakh national outdoor games; promote healthy lifestyle and develop fitness and sports; encourage a sense of responsibility, team spirit, solidarity and patriotism towards the Motherland among students.
Honoured guest of the sports festival was Igor Ragulin who is a prize-winner of the World Championship in freestyle and classical wrestling among veterans, International Master of Sports, Master of Sports of the USSR. According to the plan of the event, there were combined relay races and Kazakh national games, such as "Күрескен шынжыр" ("The fighting line"), "Итеріспек" ("Pull out of the circle"), "Тұтқынға алу" ("Who will drag it farther?") "Арқан тартыс" ("Tug of war"). There was also "The best shooter" contest. Musical numbers were performed during the time-outs.

As a result of the sports festival, the prizes went to the following teams:
1st prize – "Alye parusa" (Pavlodar Higher Medical College);
2nd prize – "Uboinaya sila" (Pavlodar Higher Medical College);
3rd prize – "Bogatyri" (Pavlodar Higher Medical College);
4th prize – "Dinamit" (Pavlodar Oil and Gas College).

All participants were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.
All teams were well prepared and showed their best sporting qualities: speed, strength and agility. Each team prepared a homework: name, logo and motto. These were evaluated separately by the competent judges.
Active participation in the festival was hosted by the fans of the teams, they were experiencing sporting excitement and fun for their favorites. The most active fans were awarded with gifts and souvenirs. The sports festival was held at a high sports and organizational level.
